🔥 Improvisation with more than 30 people ? That’s what ONCEIM do : « L’Orchestre de Nouvelles Créations, Expérimentations, et Improvisations Musicales ». An orchestra of thirty-five musicians, all excellent instrumentalists, from a variety of musical backgrounds, experimenting with the possibilities offered by sound creation !

ONCEIM – L’Orchestre de Nouvelles Créations, Expérimentations, et Improvisations Musicales – is an orchestra that consists of around 30 top-class musicians with different musical backgrounds – from improvised music to jazz and free jazz to classical, contemporary and experimental music. Its members come from a wide variety of different groups from various adjacent and overlapping music scenes of current production. Since its founding in 2011 by the composer and pianist Frédéric Blondy, ONCEIM has realized numerous projects at renowned venues and festivals, such as the Venice Biennale, the Berlin Philharmonie (Maerzmusik), the Théâtre d’Orléans, the Vienna Festival or the Moers Festival.

ONCEIM has put together an exquisite chamber music line-up for the concert at the exploratorium berlin.

On Sat-Sun, 9-10 November, the director of the ONCEIM Ensemble, Frédéric Blondy, and saxophonist Bertrand Denzler will be offering a special workshop focusing on important topics of free improvisation.
