During the 2018-2019 season, Hubbub will be 20 years old. Hubbub is one of the only European improv quintets to perform for so long in the same group. Located at the crossroads of several worlds, Hubbub is made up of five musicians whose activities trace multiple ramifications. Together, they work with sound material to create a moving space, populated by strata, stretches, entanglements, welts, pulsations, dots and lines, on the border between acoustics and electricity. The longevity of the group has enabled Hubbub to develop a universe that is more than the sum of its parts.
